Generic packages with source
To use these generic packages, kernel-source and the gcc C compiler must be properly installed on your system to dynamically build the driver modules upon installation.

Note about kernel stack size:
Because some Windows drivers (notably for Intel Centrino cards) require at least 12K of stack to operate properly and the default Linux kernel stack size is a little less than 8K (4K on Fedora Core 2 to 6, Fedora 7 and some other 2.6 kernels), we recommend using a kernel with a larger stack size if you experience problems or crashes.
Fedora Core 2 to 6 and Fedora 7 users can download one of our replacement "stk16" kernels provided through the distribution-specific links above.
Advanced users may alternatively rebuild a custom kernel without the CONFIG_4KSTACKS option.
Generic kernels patches adding CONFIG_16KSTACKS support is also available from the patches page.
Note about x86_64 support: When operating under a 64-bit kernel, driverloader requires 64-bit NDIS drivers (see Windows Drivers section). If no 64-bit NDIS driver is available for your chipset, falling back to a 32-bit kernel may be necessary.
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA)
To use the Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) security features, the wpa_supplicant below must also be installed. The pre-compiled package is the easiest package to install but only supports WPA-PSK (WPA-Personal). If you need other encryption protocols, generic packages can be used. In that case, gcc and OpenSSL development packages are also required.

Windows Drivers
The Windows drivers required to operate your device can be usually found on the manufacturer's web-site (latest-version recommended), CDs that came with your product or an installed partition. We have also compiled a list of common drivers and provide some of them in Linux-convenient format when permitted by the vendor.
