Generic packages with source

To use these generic packages, kernel-source and the gcc C compiler must be properly installed on your system to dynamically build the driver modules upon installation.

Note to Fedora Core 2 to 6 and Fedora 7 users: The default stack size in original Fedora Core 2 to 6 and Fedora 7 kernels is only 4K. Because some drivers require more stack space to operate properly, we recommend using a kernel with a larger stack size if you experience problems or crashes. You can either rebuild your own custom kernel, or get one of our replacement "stk16" kernels provided for your convenience through the distribution-specific Fedora Core 2 to 6 and Fedora 7 links above.

Note to Ubuntu Hardy (8.04) users with HDA modems: Installing the alsa-driver-linuxant package is necessary before installing this driver.
