[driverloader] D-Link DWL-510

  Hi.

I've got a D-Link DWL-510 PCI card, which I'm told has a Broadcom
chipset (it's a 802.11b card; 11Mbps).

I've tried using DriverLoader on my Debian box (running a
home-compiled 2.4.22) with the drivers provided on the cd (apparantly
D-Link won't admit to making the DWL-510 - no drivers or anything on
their website) - with this somewhat discouraging result:

/var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: _allshr (ntoskrnl.exe)
/var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: RtlCompareMemory (ntoskrnl.exe)
 /var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: WRITE_PORT_UCHAR (HAL.dll)
 /var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: READ_PORT_UCHAR (HAL.dll)
 /var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: WRITE_PORT_USHORT (HAL.dll)
 /var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: READ_PORT_USHORT (HAL.dll)
/var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: NdisBufferVirtualAddress (NDIS.SYS)
/var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: NdisBufferLength (NDIS.SYS)
/var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: NdisMDeregisterIoPortRange (NDIS.SYS)
/var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: NdisMRegisterIoPortRange (NDIS.SYS)
/var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys: export not found: NdisSystemProcessorCount (NDIS.SYS)
 unable to load "/var/lib/driverloader/%%12%%\netdlwl.sys.sys" (-6)

I then tried with the Belkin drivers linked to on www.linuxant.com
(there was a note about older Broadcom-drivers failing and a
suggestion to try the Belkin drivers).

I edited the netdlwl.inf to say bcmwl5.sys instead of netdlwl.sys, and
got this instead:

PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 00:0b.0
 driverloader: NdisWriteErrorLogEntry: ErrorCode=3221230475 NumberOfErrorValues=1
 driverloader: NdisWriteErrorLogEntry: ErrorValue 0=0x9
kernel: eth1: failed to initialize adapter (err = -5)
kernel: eth1: Failed to register net device (-5)

Looks a little better - but, alas, no go.

Has anyone else tried getting a D-Link DWL-510 running with
DriverLoader, should I try some other driver, give up entirely, or?

(I've looked at Broadcom and D-Links websites, but didn't really find
anything that looked more promising than what I've tried so far).

If nothing else, this is a datapoint.

  Best regards,

    Adam.
