Hello,

ok, I know this, but from the 'changelog':

<quote>
Mon Nov 03 2003 -
# Released driverloader-1.25.

Mon Nov 03 2003 -
# Made INF matching always case-insensitive.
# "iwconfig netif key [key] open|restricted" now sets authentication mode.
# "iwconfig netif rate <speed>" now sets desired speed if supported.
# Changed default netif name prefix from "eth" to "wlan" under SuSE 9.0.
</quote>

I mean, why don't make default "wlan" for all OS where it could be? On
my Debian AFAIK I don't have any problems configuring the WiFi as "eth1"
or "wlan0". If on Debian-based systems it is always so, well, I think it
could be better to add the same feature as for SuSE 9.0

If this is not the case, at least a feature that save your old scheme
and when you upgrade to a new version it configures the 'netdevname' as
before. I mean, as fortunately you release a lot of new versions (this
is a very good thing and I thank you), often I upgrade my DriverLoader
to the new version and everytime I do so on Debian, I need to type again
'dldrconfig --netdevname=wlan%d" :-(
