Hi,

if your adapters can communicate together, DHCP should work fine. Verify the
dhcpd settings carefully, making sure that it is bound to the wireless
interface. On each client, inspect the interface's configuration and
possibly the dhcp client configuration also. You didn't mention which Linux
distribution you are using, but the most popular ones store the network
settings in '/ets/sysconfig/network-scripts' (each interface has an
'ifcfg-$ifname' configuration file).

Oh no that wasn't the point of my question.
Yes ad-hoc works fine with static I was just trying to
find an easier was of assigning network info than
assigning all computers and entering the info over and
over.
