[driverloader] Where is Tech Support?

Hi,

the "802_11_DESIRED_RATES st=NOT_SUPPORTED" error is returned by the NDIS
(Windows XP) driver.

If you want to change the rate, you should verify if there is an option in
the advanced settings using the web configurator. Otherwise, remove the
parameter from the interface's configuration and the errors should not be
appear anymore.

For the license problem, please try with the latest Intel Centrino NDIS
driver. You should remove the files in '/var/lib/driverloader' and then use
the web configurator to upload the new driver. You can use the following
link.

ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook/TravelMate_80x/driver/winxp/intel2100b.zip

As for the orinoco driver, I apologize for giving you the wrong information.
It should not try to bind to your Centrino adapter since it is looking for
different PCI ID's. You can still uninstall it if you want to get rid of the
initialization errors in the output from "dmesg".

So why the delay in replying and a reply only after I solicit the
mailing-list? Besides, it still does not tell me what it means and what
is wrong?

You still have not answered my orginal question about why I was not able
to get the license installed.

You said there is a potential conflict with the orinoco drivers. I don't
understand this statement. Can you elaborate?
