Hi,

you can try to copy the driver files manually in '/var/lib/driverloader'.
However, it's important to get the Windows XP NDIS driver files and not
Windows 2000.

Usually, it is possible to extract the files from the archive provided by
the vendor with a program like "unzip" or "unrar".

Subject: [driverloader] Problems with driver for USR5410

Hi together

I have to install USR5410 on a Debian System (testing), so i installed
driverloader from the provided deb (v 1.52). The module compiled well
and the config web interface seems to work.
Now I installed the newest drivers from U.S.Robotics (v 4.0q 919) on
Windows 2000. Unfortunatly I don't have any WinXP installation.
Ok, I then copied usr11g.inf, usr11g.sys and tiacx111.bin to linux and
tried to configure driverloader.

The parsing of inf file seems to work fine and i got a screen to tell
the location of the other two files. If I now find the files by using
the browse button and so the whole path with filename is in the field,
then I get a popup message "The document contains no data". If only the
path (without filename) is there, the browser does something, but the
webpage shown doesn't change at all and also no popup is comming up.

At home of the Configurator now the Driver is shown correctly.

When I insert the Card in PCCARD slot dmesg sais:
>>
cs: cb_alloc(bus 3): vendor 0x104c, device 0x9066
PCI: Enabling device 03:00.0 (0000 -> 0002)
driverloader: unable to load "/var/lib/driverloader/usr11g.sys" (-5)
<<

When I try to load the module by hand, it sais:

[...]

and in dmesg:
>>
driverloader: unable to load "/var/lib/driverloader/usr11g.sys" (-5)
<<

If there is someone who could help me somehow, it will be very welcome.

Greetz
Stephan
