Hello all,

I am trying to configure WPC54G card against a D-link
DI-614+ AP. I have successfully installed the driver
module, but can configure the card using Redhat 9's
network configuration tool. However upon trying to
activate the card it takes a long time and finally
returns this error:

Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :
    invalid argument "s:".

Determining IP information for eth1... failed.

I have completed an iwlist and it returns:

Also my access point indicates that it has seen and
recognized my wireless card by displaying the MAC
address.

Looking at the /var/log/messages file while the
network tool is trying to configure the card, I
noticed the following output:

I am unfamiliar with the solution to this problem.
Does anyone have any idea of what I can do to solve
this. I tried hardcoding an ip address for eth1 (my
wireless card). Even after rebuilding the routing
tables using route, I am unable to ping my gateway.

Does anyone have a clue as to what I am omitting?
Thank you very much for your reply.

Regards,

Bediako George
