[driverloader] problem with newer versions of driver loader in Fedora Core 1?

Hi,

Recently I upgraded my kernel from 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl to
2.4.22-1.2179.nptl. I had been using driverlaoder 1.64, but the download
only allowed me to get 1.66 for my newer kernel. Ever since I did this all
my ssh connections perodically freeze and the only solution is tokill the
xterm. Is there anything I can try to diagnose the problem? Is there a
known solution to this?
