[driverloader] Problems with the DriverLoader

Unbelievably embarrassing: the problem was that the card was turned
off. I didn't even think to try checking this one, since I didn't
deactivate it - I guess it was a hardware glitch somewhere along the
line. To make the story short: I just gave it a try (since I felt I
was running out of options) and used the <Fn>-<F2> functional key and
bingo: all works flawlessly again.
