in purchasing licences for your product. I have downloaded trial licenses and
cannot get the equipment to work under SuSE 9.0. </FONT></DIV>

like to ensure the system functions.</FONT></DIV>

PCI wireless network card, the laptop has a cardbus wireless network card (both
are belkin and use the broadcom chipset) both are running SuSE 9.0</FONT></DIV>

laptop, mode = Ad-hoc address = 169.254.94.225</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The desktop is configured as ESSID = Home, nick =
desk, mode = Ad-hoc address = 169.254.94.225</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>ifconfig from both machines show the wlan0
interface up</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>iwconfig from both machines show the ESSID, NICK,
MODE as listed above, but both machines show 0 signal strength</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The machines are next to each other</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Pinging the desktop from the laptop shows the coms
LED flashing but gives network unreachable</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Pinging the laptop from the desktop gives the same
message but I cannot see the LED's</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I have removed the firewall from both
machines</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>the kernel in the desktop is 2.4-119</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>the kernel in the laptop is 2.4-99</FONT></DIV>
