Dear Sir,

Verify if you are really connected. Issue this command on terminal window as

root to know the IP of your 'ppp0' interface.

# ifconfig

If there's an IP is present, use the ping command to know if you have network

connection.

ping yahoo.ocm

You should receive a reply.

Try also to add the nameserver and DNS IP of your ISP on /etc/resolv.conf

[root at localhost root]# ifconfig

lo Link encap:Local Loopback

          inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0

          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1

          RX packets:130 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

          TX packets:130 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0

          RX bytes:8468 (8.2 Kb) TX bytes:8468 (8.2 Kb)

[root at localhost root]# ping yahoo.ocm

ping: unknown host yahoo.ocm

[root at localhost root]# ping yahoo.com

ping: unknown host yahoo.com

I installed Linux to be challenged.
...it's working.
