Just reporting that the device 127A:1035 (its name under windows:
E-TECH PCI56RWM Modem) is working with the hcfpcimodem driver.
For documentation:

The relevant part of lspci -v :

00:09.0 Communication controller: Rockwell International HCF 56k
PCI Speakerphone Modem (rev 08)
	Subsystem: Rockwell International HCF 56k PCI Speakerphone Modem
	Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 5
	Memory at d5000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable)
	I/O ports at e800
	Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2

The result of  listmodem.sh :

=============================================================
= RESULT OF MODEM QUERY =

Nevertheless I downloaded the tar package
hcfpcimodem-0.97mbsibeta02070500.tar.gz
and tried to compile it.
After setting in modules/common.mak the variable
KERNELSRC= /usr/src/linux
the package compiled on my SuSE 7.0 machine (2.2.16 kernel).

Then hcfpciconfig autoconfigured the modem fine,
and yast detected it.

Thank you, Marc, for this driver!

Alex
