I am also using the HCF generic rpm to install the driver on Limux Mandrake 7.1/7.2/8.0/8.1/8.2 and it works for all of them. I believe that it has the advantage of using being compiler and kernel independant. Red Hat 8.0 users may possibly benefit from installing the generic rpm as well.

Thanks Marc for all your work. Your driver makes my internal modem work as well as the external one which i had to use before your drivers came along
