Hi Amit,

My problem still remains unsolved. However...
Try using ATDP ( ie pulse dialing) instead of ATDT

When I do this, the modem does dial and the dial tone goes away and there
is the sound of the modem trying to connect to the remote machine. But the
connection is never established. The modem ultimately hangs up with a No
Carrier response.

Let me know what happens.
btw I'm using Satyam as my ISP in Delhi.
