[hcflinux] No dialtone error

Hi,

I am using an "elsa microlink 56k-PCI" Modem (HCF, 127A:1004) in conjuction
with Suse Linux 8.1 (kernel 2.4.19).

The installation of the associated binary rpm works fine. I am able to
talk to the modem via minicom. Nevertheless it is not possible to
establish a connection because the modem always reports a "no dialtone"
error although the dialtone can be heard via the modem's speaker!?

I have tried the latest driver (31.12.2002).

Any ideas? Thank you.
