[hcflinux] HSFModem stops responding after one day

Hello Everyone

I installed an HSF modem on a Linux i686 RH8 (kernel 2.4.20) system
about a month ago. I used the latest source HSF driver and compiled it
on the system. Diald uses the modem to dial-on-demand to the internet.

My problem is that the modem stops responding after about a day of
dialing two to three times an hour. When I try to unload the modules
with "hsfstop" the system reports "Modules in use". The only way to get
the modem working again is a reboot.

Has anyone had the same experience and have found a work around?
