I have been trying to install my modem for a week now and apparently the
driver is not loading correctly. My modem information is : 14F1 1610
(1611). My linux ditribution is Mandrake 9.1.

After installing the drivers (the ones for Mandrake 9.1, kernel 2.4.21),
it told me that everything was ok and that
/dev/ttySHCF0 should have been created. But it does not exist.

I looked at the faq and I tried the "modprobe hcfpciserial" and then
dmesg. I have apparently an error when the drivers are loading but I
don't know what is happening.

I would really appreciate any help.

PS : I tried with the hsf drivers too because I was not sure it was an
hcf modem but the hsfpciconfig told me my modem was probably HCF. Anyway
none of these drivers are loading on my computer.
