Hi,

the HCF driver fails on a 2002 Powerbook G4 with Yellowdog 3.0.1.
Order of commands tried out:

1. make install runs without errors

2. /usr/sbin/hcfusbconfig fails with

   [....]
Building modules for kernel 2.4.22-2g, using source directory
   /lib/modules/2.4.22-2g/build. Please wait...
   done.

ERROR: no device detected by hcfusb driver

3. /usr/sbin/hcfusbconfig --dumpdiag produces attached log file

4. syslog shows:

Dec 16 23:06:21 linux-powerbook kernel: ohci1394_0: OHCI-1394 1.0 (PCI): IRQ=[40] MMIO=[f5000000-f50007ff] Max Packet=[2048]

Dec 16 23:06:29 linux-powerbook kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout

5. Trying /usr/sbin/hcfusbconfig -r
   followed by /usr/sbin/hcfusbconfig
   crashes the kernel

Hope this helps to debug the driver.

Best regards,
Marcel
