[hcflinux] Troubleshooting the hcfpcimodem

I have upgraded my modem version to the latest available, after
upgrading my kernel, but the problem still exists:

rpm -q kernel
kernel-2.4.18-17.8.0

rpm -q hcfpcimodem
hcfpcimodem-0.98mbsibeta02110300k2.4.18_17.8.0-1rh

Is there anything that can be done to troubleshoot this problem?
