[hsflinux] Extra debug messages?

Hello -

  With today's version of the driver, I am still unable to get any sign
  of life out of my Sony Vaio SR-17 modem.  The only messages I get are:

Jun 25 08:55:31 vaio devfsd[100]: Caught SIGHUP
Jun 25 08:55:31 vaio devfsd[100]: read config file: "/etc/devfsd.conf"
Jun 25 08:55:31 vaio kernel: hsf_request_port: ComCtrlOpen failed, r=1!

  Is there a way to enable extra debugging to find out why ComCtrlOpen
  is returning an error?
