[hsflinux] AC 97 modem hangs on sending more that ~100-200 KB

I have a Sony Vaio FXA-36 and hsf drivers work mostly ok. But if I send 
(in attachment or with cvs) more than ~100-200k modem hangs. Sometimes 
(very very rarely) it gets through ok. I was trying different speed, 
sending while downloading, just sending, turning on/off sound driver and 
playing/not playing music, even not touching anything (mouse and 
keyboard) with the same result.
Does anyone has the same problem as I do and is this something wich is 
gonna be fixed soon?
I have Mandrake 8.2 with linux-2.4.18-6mdk kernel.
