[hsflinux] problems with PCI ID 8086:2486

Hi,

since two days I'm trying to get the

  Conexant-Ambit SoftK56 Data, Fax, ICH Modem 
  (= Intel MC97 Controller (ICH) = PCI ID 8086:2486)

in my VAIO GRX416G on a SuSE 8.1 (standard kernel) to work.

I installed the
"hsflinmodem-5.03.03.L3mbsibeta02110301k2.4.19_4GB-1suse.i386.rpm" RPM.
The notebook is started with "pci=biosirq" at bootpromt.

Any idea what's going wrong here?
