[hsflinux] Connexant Modem on HP ze 4208s (10B9:5457)

Hi *

I have an HP Pavilion ZE 4208s with Modem Conexant ACLink 56K (PCI 10B9:5457)

I install a Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (Woody)

I take the last kernel on ftp.kernel.org (2.4.20)

I recompile it, without SMP and with the acpi patch found at
http://acpi.sourceforge.net

My laptop work perfectly.

I take the hsf drivers for conexant modem, i make install, and hsfconfig

First : it found an SMP kernel ! And i don't have the SMP support on my kernel.

I continue, the installation work good.

Second : When i launch pppd, i have a message : "No hardware found"... Hum...

Third : i remove ac97_modem and trident modules for my sound card, i launch pppd
: my computer freeze !

I'm lost ! I think the problem is so simple to resolve, but i don't find the
solutions...

If someone have an idea, please help me :-)
