Hi,
I have installed the drivers for my modem and everything seemed OK.
ran hsconfig with standard options (and since then almost all options)
it all seemed fine.
When I run Kppp it finds the modem and when it goes to dial, instead
of a dial tone or the numbers all I get is a sort
of 'SSSSCRZCZRZHXDZHDHHH' sound eminating from the modem. (Frightened
me at first because I'm used to the sound coming from my speakers) I
tried using minicom instead and AT &F was fine but ATDT(with and
without a phonenumber) caused the same sound. Big crazy sound.
I've tried both the rpm, source rpm and the tar.gz file. Each having
the same problem.
Any help will be greatley appreciated...
Thanks in advance,
  Toe Knee
