Hi,

the same license key should still work with any distribution or kernel if
the machine and modem are the same.

Subject: [hsflinux] Pay version driver distribution format

Before I invest a bunch of time testing the free version and then cash
in buying the full version, could anyone tell me what format the full
version is distributed in? Ideally it would be source, but I am
concerned that it might have something locking it to an install due to
the language used specifically excluding kernel changes from affecting
the license status.

My situation is that I have a Compaq Presario 2100Z laptop with an
integrated hsf modem. This system is far from perfect and still has
several major issues. The network adapter for starters doesn't work
(hangs system as soon as connected), the power mangement requires a 2.6
kernel, the video requires a patched CVS version of X and kernel
patches, and the PCMCIA still doesn't work right. Because of all these
issues, it is highly likely that I will be doing a couple reinstalls
(I'll be making new RPMS and testing from install each time I get one of
these issues resolved and packaged properly). I'm concerned that some
possible ways of packaging this driver would result in me loosing the
ability to run the full version at one of these reinstalls.

I would really appreciate any insight into any relevant issues to the
pay driver install.

Thanks
