[hsflinux] Conexant softk56 modem slow connection

Hi,

the free driver is limited to 14.4 kbps. The full version supports v.90 and
v.92 with some modems.

The connection speed varies depending on the phone line quality. In the
United-States and Canada, because of FCC regulations, speed is limited to
53.3 kbps (on a perfect phone line).

Subject: [hsflinux] Conexant softk56 modem slow connection

Hi..

I have a Conexant softk56 modem (ven 127A:1025) and I download the free
drivers from linuxant, but I just can get a
1kbps or less conecction.

What can I do to get a better connection whit the free drivers?? (14 Kbps)

If I buy a driver license, will my modem get a 56k connection (or just a
minimun connection)?

I'm working whit Knoppix debian 3.1 (kernel 2.4)

Tnx a lot
