Thanks, they have compiled fine now.

However I get the following message when running hsfconfig

ERROR: no device detected by hsf driver

Running dmesg gives me the following information.

PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 00:0c.0
	Cnxthsf_cnxt_serial_add: ComCtrlOpen failed (1)

My modem is a 14f1:1085 and it is indeed at IRQ 11.

Please let me know if you require the hsfconfig --dump and I'll mail it.

Many thanks in advance

Martin

Hi,

you should modify the "CC" variable in the file
'/usr/lib/hsfmodem/modules/Makefile'.

Subject: [hsflinux] Newbie question re Compiling HSF driver

Hi,

My linux box (LFS5.0) built from source has two versions of gcc installed
gcc-2.95.3 which the kernel and modules are compiled with and gcc-3.3.1
which all other software is compiled against.

gcc-3.3.1 to be found in /usr/bin
gcc-2.95.3 to be found in /opt/gcc-2.95.3/bin

The $PATH = /bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin

How do I get the HSF installer to compile with gcc-2.95.3?

Regards

Martin
