Hello,

Thanks for your suggestions till now. I request
for further help till I get my linmodem running. I
have not succeeded yet in getting my linmodem running.
I tried installing the drivers in both ways and
getting problem in both as described below:

(1)SOURCE TARBALL:
make runs and instructs me to run hsfconfig.
When you run hsfconfig, I get following problem:

/usr/sbin/hsfconfig : ${param_hwinst[${unit}]} bad
substitution
ERROR: hsfdriver not active

When I do modprobe/ttySHSF, I get the following error.
   unresolved symbol snprintf
   insmod /lib/modules/2/4/2/misc/hsfosspec.o failed

Note:
I get warning saying modules.conf older than
modules.dep. Is it a serious one? How to solve it?

(2)USING RPM:

    I get the following error:
     rpm: unexpected query source

Thanks in advance. Please help me in getting my
linmodem working.

With Regards
Srinivasan
