[hsflinux] Unable to install driver under FC1 with 2.6.0-1.1.103kernel

Hi,

when you run "hsfconfig" with the generic driver package, it tries to
compile the driver modules using the kernel sources.

It seems that there is a problem with the kernel sources installed in
"/lib/modules/2.6.0-1.1.103/build" (probably a symbolic link to
/usr/src/...). They are either incomplete or note configured properly.

You need to have the same kernel sources that were used to compile the
kernel you are running. Also, they must not have been cleaned with "make
clean" or "make mrproper".

Subject: [hsflinux] Unable to install driver under FC1 with
2.6.0-1.1.103kernel

Hi,

I have tried to install Conexant HSF softmodem driver version
6.03.00lnxt03122800full in a Fedora Core 1 system under the
precompiled 2.6.0-1.1.103 kernel that is distributed in
people.redhat.com/~arjanv/, but it fails when running
/usr/sbin/hsfconfig:

When running /usr/sbin/hsfconfig as root, the
/tmp/hsfconfig-buildlog.txt file obtained is:

If I change the $ARCH environmental variable to i386, then the

The driver works well using the precompiled
hsfmodem-6.03.00lnxt03122800full_k2.4.22_1.2115.nptl-1fdr.athlon.rpm,
except for occasional unwanted disconnections.

This is the internal modem of an Acer Aspire 1310LC.

Any guess of what might be happening?

Thanks,

    Albert.
