Hi,

please try to edit '/usr/lib/hsfmodem/modules/mod_mc97ich.c' and make the
following change.

---
After the line...
{0x8086, 0x24C6, PCI_ANY_ID, PCI_ANY_ID, 0, 0, CNXTHWCFG("mc97ich")},

add...
{0x8086, 0x24D6, PCI_ANY_ID, PCI_ANY_ID, 0, 0, CNXTHWCFG("mc97ich")},
---

Then, recompile the driver modules by running
"/usr/sbin/hsfconfig --kernel --auto" from a root shell.

Aftre recompiling, you should create a dumpdiag with the command
"/usr/sbin/hsfconfig --dumpdiag" and send us the file generated in '/tmp'.

Thank you,

Hi,

An attempt to install hsf*.rpm leads to a "successful" compile but a barf by
insmod wrt several *.o files. Per a suggestion I tried a smartlink driver:
no
luck. My question is, since 8086:24D6 does not appear in the list of
supported HW should I even EXPECT success (doh)?

Roy
