The fact that it's breezy has nothing to do with the problem. I've just
mentioned it to describe the process. If you've read my mail, the
modules are compiled and working correctly, the problem is only with the
the driver's license/registration ID of the modem .

I've just recalled the fact that the laptop was serviced few months ago,
including replacement of the main board.

Since than the kernel remained the same, the module didn't need
recompile/re-registration and kept working. Now, with the upgrade and
new kernel, Could be that the replaced parts of the laptop triggered the
registration Id change ?

What should do in this case ?

P.S

I've used Gentoo, LFS and every major and non major distro for long
periods of time. I was part of gentoo-dev, mainting few ebuilds, and
made few of the wallpapers displayed on gentoo's site. So please don't
tell me about it or any other distro when it has nothing to do with the
problem ;-)

Cheers
