Hi,

we can see a HDA bus in your machine to which a Conexant modem could be 
connected. HDA modem support in the HSF modem driver version 7.47.00.01 
requires a 2.6.16 kernel and you are using a 2.6.15 kernel.

You could try with a 2.6.16.x kernel from http://www.kernel.org.
