[hsflinux] Kubuntu Dapper problem with hsfmodem [eid-20060706-f83]

your modem is probably connected to the HDA bus. The HSF modem driver 
requires at least a 2.6.16 kernel in order to support HDA modems but you 
are running a 2.6.15 kernel.

You could try with a newer kernel from http://www.kernel.org or perhaps 
check the unstable branch or repository of Ubuntu to see if there is a 
newer kernel available.
