<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I'm newbie in linux (mandrake82), my modem returns
127A-1025 id. there is a r6793-15chip inside.the system detects as hcf rockwell
pci modem, my winxp only works with generic hsf drivers (provided by
conexant). So i decided to try both hsf and hcf newest drivers without any
luck.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>hcf=kppp reports can't start
modem.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>hsf=kppp starts modem (i can hear for one
second beep tone, but modem doesn't starts dialing).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Also in hsfconfig at the end of the
configuration inform me that i can get modem by ttySHSF0 (just says nothing
about dev/modem).Thank you in advance for any help.</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
