Hi,

DriverLoader is an NDIS (Network Driver Interface Specification) wrapper
and it would require a completely different software to load printer
drivers.

If you don't use WPA, you don't need the "wpa_supplicant".

About the expiration dates, normally they match. Maybe it's a time zone
issue or something like that. The one shown in "dldrconfig --info" should be
the right one.

Note that most WEP problems are fixed by one or a combination of these.

1) Use the latest release of DriverLoader (in your case, use 1.49 for now).

2) Make sure the AP uses the same WEP settings as the adapter. Sometimes it
is necessary to force "open" or "restricted" mode on both the AP and the
adapter.

3) Upgrade the NDIS driver. You might even need to use a Windows XP driver
from another vendor if it is newer and modify the INF file to add your
adapter's PCI ID (e.g. Belkin usually supplies the latest driver for
Broadcom based cards).

4) Upgrade wireless-tools.

5) Upgrade the AP's firmware.

If all of the above is unsuccessful, please run "dldrconfig --dumpdiag" from
a root shell and send us the file generated in '/tmp' at
support at linuxant.com.

Marc,

OK, I have narrowed the problem to only version 1.50:
o Version 1.49 works perfectly for me,
o While version 1.50 does not work at all.

I have a doubt though: since I'm not doing WPA yet (I wanted 1.50 to
work w/o encryption before trying something harder), I have not
installed wpa_supplicant-lnxt2003121400.tar.gz yet. It couldn't be the
problem, could it?

Btw, is Linuxant working for a DriverLoader for printer drivers? That
would be nice to have too.

Thanks,
