Hi Marc

Many thanks for the response.  Having RTFM and delved deeper (see below on
XP partition) the subvendor name is Compal (can't find anything useful from
them).  I've got lucents to work on previous generation Toshiba laptops, but
the 1900 is looking like a challenge!
