Hi,

we can see the following error message in the dump you have provided:

---
FATAL: Error inserting hsfusbcd2
(/lib/modules/2.6.11-6mdk-i686-up-4GB/extra/hsfusbcd2.ko): Invalid
module format
---

and in your 'dmesg' we can see:

---
hsfusbcd2: version magic '2.6.11-6mdk-i686-up-4GB 686 gcc-4.0' should be
'2.6.11-6mdk-i686-up-4GB 686 gcc-3.4'
---

It seems that the HSF driver kernel modules were compiled with gcc
version 4.0 but the kernel was compiled with gcc version 3.4. You will
need to install gcc version 3.4 on your machine.

Then, it is quite possible that you will need to either uninstall gcc
version 4.0 or use the patch named 'hsf-7.18.00.05-gccver.patch'
available at:

http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/downloads-patches.php

since the HSF modem driver might still use gcc version 4.0 even if gcc
3.4 is installed.

Finally, please try to re-compile the HSF driver modules with the
'hsfconfig' command in a root shell.

Regards,
