[hsflinux] ComCtrlOpen failed (2049) on Debian amd64

I tried to use my hsfmodem on Debian kernel 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64 with and 
without xen (dom0). In both cases I got the same error and the driver 
didn't load.
It works using the same PC, 32-bit deb package, kernel 2.6.26-2-686.

Any chance to get this work?
