This page contains patches which can be applied to the latest release of the DGC driver for the generic package in the TAR format. These patches can fix various bugs and add support for kernels which were not available at the moment of the release of the latest version of the driver. These patches are likely to be included in a future release of the driver.

If you have any problems with these patches, please contact support@linuxant.com.

No patches for the DGC driver are currently available at the moment. If you were looking for a specific patch, it's likely already integrated in the latest version.

How to apply these patches

The easiest way to install patches is to use the dgcconfig --patch command in a root shell with the latest version of the HSF modem driver installed. If the machine doesn't have an active Internet connection, you can use the dgcconfig --patch file.patch command instead, where file.patch is a patch file downloaded from this page. Patching is currently only supported with the TAR package format.

Advanced users can use the patch utility to patch the software instead of using the dgcconfig --patch command.

User comment:

I just wanted to take the time to thank Linuxant for dedicating their time and effort into making life easier for all of us Linux users. Having a working Winmodem in Linux is one giant leap towards moving away from that assine, monopolistic, bullshit company that will forever remain nameless. I've been using your drivers for over a year now (RH8, RH9, FC1) and decided to purchase the full version to support your work even tho I am going with wireless DSL in less than a week. I am basing what router and pc card to buy from your chipset compatability list to try and minimize compatability problems. Thanks again and you can expect another license purchase soon.
